    Ljubiša Majdov was born on 28th of May 1972. in Foca. He's a father and coach to two sons, professional judokas, Stefan Majdov and Nemanja Majdov - first ever Serbian world champion. He has been a police officer since 1991. He graduated from primary and secondary police school in Sarajevo. He is graduated judo coach as the best student of his class and the first graduated student from this study program at the Faculty of Physical Culture in Pale. At the same Faculty he got his massters degree. He is a holder of master's title - black belt 5th DAN. He begins to train judo at Judo Club "Zeljeznicar" and club section "Kadet" at the school of internal affairs "Mijo Kerosevic Guja". He achieved his most significant competitive outcome at the Miliciada - Sarajevo in 1991 (the competition of all schools of internal affairs from the former SFRY) when he took the title of the Vice Champion of the SFRY. His sports career was interrupted by a homeland war (1992-1995), in which he participated as a member of the forces MUP of the Republika Srpska. After the end of the war, Ljubisa is fully committed to the coaching career.

    He is the president and the first coach of Judo Club "Randori" East Novo Sarajevo. He is also the initiator and the first of the founders of this club. Ljubisa is today licensed coach of Judo Club "Red Star" from Belgrade, as well as Serbian team. He is the official coach of the Serbian national team in all official competitions of the European and World judo federation where his competitors perform. At the Youth Olympic Games, held in China in 2014, he qualified as coach of Nemanja Majdova, the young Olympic teammate of the Serbian national team. He is a longtime member of the jury in the prestigious selection of the sportsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by Nezavisne Novine, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    Ljubisa Majdov received a special plaque for outstanding contribution to the affirmation and improvement of sports at the selection of the Republika Srpska athlete for 2012, held at Banski Dvori in Banja Luka. He also received the recognition for the development of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the election of the athlete of Bosnia and Herzegovina. From the mother community, the Municipality of Novo Novo Sarajevo, he was declared the best sports worker for 2012. Majdov is also the holder of the title of the best cadet trainer of Judo Federation of Belgrade and Serbia for 2013, and in the selection of the Olympic Committee of Serbia he was included in the top 5 trainers of Serbia for 2014. In 2017, he became the bearer of the prestigious title of the best coach of Europe for which he was proclaimed from the side of the EJU - European judo federation. That same year he was awarded with the special award by the Olympic Committee of Serbia. In 2019. he is proclamed as the best coach of Republic of Srpska. On 5th of Martch, at the celebration of Red Star's 75th birthday, Ljubiša was named the best coach of Red Star sport society.
