    Ivan Todorov was born October 7th, 1967 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Physical Culture in Belgrade (professor of physical culture). At the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Niš, in 2010, he defended his master's thesis, and in the same year he defended doctoral dissertation and obtained the academic title of Doctor of Physical Culture. In the period from 1998 to 2008 he has been performing as a lecturer at the Sports Academy in Belgrade on the subject "Theory and Methods of Martial Sports", and since 2016 he has been a lecturer with the title of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sports "Union-Nikola Tesla". In the same year he became an assistant professor at the academy of National Security of the Republic of Serbia.

    Since 2014 Todorov has been a holder of master's title - black belt 7th DAN. For a long time he has been a first class judo coach. In his rich sports career, Ivan Todorov achieved the following results: multiple champion of the state (SFRY) in all age categories, multiple Balkan champion, winner of the silver medal at the European championship in 1987, winner of the bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games in 1987, winner of the bronze medal at the European Championship Team in 1986, participant of the 1998 Olympic Games in Seoul. He was seven times champion of the state (SFRY and FRY), five times champion of the SFRY Cup, and has won the fifth place in the European Cup of Champion Clubs. He was the coach of the male senior team from 1994 to 1999. From 1997 to 2001 he was a member of the Governing Board of the Judo Federation of Serbia, and in 2001 he became president of this Federation. Since April 4th 2000, he has been the Secretary General of the Red Star Sports Association. Since 2007 he has been president of the Sports Academy in Belgrade, and since 2009 to 2017 he has been Vice President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia. One year later, he became a member of the Red Star Red Cross Board of Directors. He has been engaged in the Sports Association of Belgrade (SSAB) since 2010, where he is acting as the Vice President of the Association. In addition, he is also a member of the Executive Board of SSAB, the commission's commissioner for awards and recognitions, and a member of the categorization committee for sports, for the categorization of clubs from Belgrade, for top sporting events and competitions of interest for the city of Belgrade. Todorov was the president of Balkan judo Federation from 2012 to 2016. Since 2011. he is a member of European judo

    Federation board, and since 2012. member of the Advisory Commission of the European judo Federation President Sergej Sloviecika. After all, Ivan Todorov is also the author of many scientific papers on judo.
